TOM FORD FALL 2018 RTW COLLECTION
Tom Ford delivers a confident and edgy Fall collection with vibrancy.
February 20, 2018
At the Tom Ford Fall 2018 runway show, models emerged on the runway, sporting playfully sophisticated collection pieces, as a soundtrack featuring tunes by Sting, Lana Del Rey and more fueled the atmosphere.
The collection featured cheetah spots, zebra stripes, glitter, velvet and fur. Ford also showed oversize diamond hoops, fishnets, mini-dresses, well-tailored blazers and some sequined tops and bottoms. Ford’s sparkly sweatshirt, which he accessorized with leopard-print leggings, one of many pairs in many different materials that gave this collection its athletic mien.
The go-go ’80s weren’t the only era depicted. More subdued black minidresses worn with silver tights, crystal-heeled slingback pumps, thick headbands, and oversize hoops conjured Andy Warhol superstar Edie Sedgwick. The tailoring was predictably strong, given his menswear business, and the sexy tuxedo catsuit is poised for the red carpet.
Watch behind the scenes a lineup of sultry sirens with bold makeup take the catwalk.
