For the Marc Jacobs Spring 2018 ad campaign, the American designer taps renowned photographer Steven Meisel for the new season adding a unique water effect.
“I’m happy and proud to share our Spring/Summer 2018 ad campaign photographed by Steven Meisel. I love the exuberance, spirit and energy captured in these images. Steven so perfectly captured the joy of fashion and the spirit of this collection,” said Marc Jacobs.
The brand has taken its colorful and eye-catching Spring collection and featured models that are grouped in a sparkling set projecting dreamlike water reflections.
Entitled ‘Somewhere,’ the campaign is inspired by the Sofia Coppola. Last season was all about this urban landscape, and this is not about any particular landscape. It’s somewhere, but the designer is not sure where.
A large cast including Fran Summers, Cristina Piccone, Lea Julian, Aube Jolicoeur, Sveta Black, Remington Williams and Sophie Martynova appear in the campaign. The images spotlight retro and oversized shapes ranging from draped gowns to relaxed pantsuits. Katie Grand styles the shoot with Pat McGrath on makeup and hair by Guido Palau.
