The Italian brand’s stunning new boutique on London’s Old Bond Street is the perfect location to inaugurate the exclusive Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda fashion Show.
Dolce & Gabbana launched an audacious takeover of 23 of Harrods’ windows, decorated the Harrods Christmas tree and presented a fashion show of exclusive product in its Food Hall. The brand launched their Old Bond Street store, whipped into mesmerising, marble-choked created by French interior designer Gwenaël Nicolas. At this six-floor store of panda marble, polished black walnut and steel, golden-veined marble, Baroque chairs, and dedicated floors for bespoke fittings for private clientele, the runway show was presented.
The Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda collection was a love letter to London, was how Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce summed up this collection. “English people have the greatest taste,” said Gabbana. “We love London.” Models wore form-fitting sequined gowns emblazoned with ‘London’ and ‘Old Bond Street’ appliqué, beautiful velvet dresses fit for a Tudor monarch, and tweed skirt suits embroidered with military-ish regalia. The men wore natty suits and robes, each one glistening thanks to the Alta Gioielleria in their lapels and the crystals and pearls adoring their smoking slippers.
Watch as Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana show their extraordinary skills and meticulous attention to detail as these dream like Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda and Alta Sartoria are being prepared.
