LOUIS VUITTON SERIES 7 FALL 2017 AD CAMPAIGN
A star-studded campaign with a mix of model and movie-stars.
July 4, 2017
Artistic Director Nicolas Ghesquière taps Riley Keough, Jaden Smith, Sophie Turner and Catherine Deneuve for the Louis Vuitton Series 7 Fall 2017 ad campaign as they appear in the latest advertisements which feature studio and on-location portraits.
Photographed by Bruce Weber in Pompano Beach, Florida, the images star a mix of models and actors as the house has again selected the purveyor of gender nonconformity as the face of their womenswear campaign.
In a statement at the time of that now-iconic image’s release, Ghesquière said Smith was chosen for the campaign because he represents this generation’s fashion freedom. “He represents a generation that has assimilated the codes of true freedom, one that is free of manifestos and questions about gender,” Ghesquière said. “Wearing a skirt comes as naturally to him as it would to a woman who, long ago, granted herself permission to wear a man’s trench or a tuxedo.”
The new season spotlights denim, plaid prints and mixed materials. The campaign was styled by Marie-Amélie Sauvé. Models Theresa Hayes, Hoyeon Jung, Natalie Westling, Masha Skokova, Alexandra Micu, Sora Choi and Sarah Dahl also appear in the shoot.
