Alexander Wang is renowned for his approach to cozy-yet-chic clothing and his T by Alexander Wang 2017 Pre-Fall collection is no exception.
Ultra wide-leg pants and cinched waists are key silhouettes throughout and the designer’s penchant for sleek-yet-effortless casual wear and subtle sportiness remaining obvious. The collection comprises of a mostly monochrome color palette with flashes of emerald green, and sculptural sweat-suits and oversized black jackets take center-stage.
The new collection includes three sweat suit looks. The first is gray and cozy, cinched at the waist with a wraparound belt. The second is Kelly green with cigarette trousers of structured terry. The third is a tie-front cotton blouse worn with the same cigarette pants, now in heather gray.
Pajama separates come in ivory and jet silk, with the top cut small and the trousers ballooning. A classic double-breasted suit is infused with slouch, with metal ring details at the pockets with a knit knot top worn with high-waist, pleated trousers. Other standout pieces include crisp white shirts with a wraparound waist and cigarette pants surprisingly constructed from a soft terry fabric.
