Introducing the Zimmermann Summer 2017 swimwear collection as blond beauty model Vanessa Axente is captured poolside in the season’s hottest pieces.

Zimmermann chose to shoot collecton next to the famous limewashed walls of Bondi Icebergs pool – a regular haunt of the beautiful, famous and total tourist.

Photographed by Beau Grealy, Axante is perfectly at ease in ruffled dresses, form-fitting bikinis and retro-inspired one pieces. Paired with lightweight coverups and turbans, Zimmermann’s swim collection is perfect for all the warm weather ahead. Also catching our eye is this season’s colour palette of navy, olive and dusty pink, which breaks up the crisp white and chic black tones in the collection.

“Last week I wore one of our Swim [collection] dresses out with friends with a vintage-looking seventies boot,” said Nicky Zimmermann, founder of the label, on how she styles the pieces. “During summer I may wear [just] it with an espadrille.”

Whether it was one of their fabled bikinis, a pretty romper or a wedding-ready cocktail dress – the DNA of one of Australia’s best-loved labels invariably lies in the laidback, beach-to-bar lifestyle.
