The Tom Ford Spring 2017 collection featured a unique mix of aesthetics from cool downtown styles to opulent red carpet gowns. The collection integrated metal sequined gowns and corset-belts with a focus on details and textures. Thick belts with giant gold discs were spotlighted as well as intricately structured silhouettes paired with a a layed-back vibe.
The collection featured cool pieces such as an über-luxe hoodie in a superfine cashmere blend with draped sleeves; paired with a leather skirt and shaggy coat. Meanwhile, the opulent collection featured patchwork skirts in the form of this raspberry-colored, asymmetrical pencil skirt with a layer of fringe.
As for the razor-sharp evening looks, the white long-sleeved gown, finished with an abstract brass collar. Ford’s signature color-blocked sequined gowns made an appearance, too, in shades of black, crimson, and coppery orange. The gowns evoked the work of Gustav Klimt.
