For the Ermanno Scervino Fall 2016 ad campaign, models Hana Jirickova and Jordan Barrett are photgraphed by Peter Lindbergh in interiors by design in Paris. The cinematographic atmosphere in the footsteps of Luchino Visconti reveals the femininity and the intimacy of Ermanno Scervino looks.
In the footsteps of Luchino Visconti, Scervino and Lindbergh guide the models through a tale of cinematic inspiration.
Each scene is a portrait of seemingly everyday life, in a setting that fuses glamour with intimacy. The key looks of the collection infuse the shots with emphatic erotic overtones.
The narration of a utopian “behind-the-scenes”, reveals the human side in poses and emotions both abstract and reflective.
“Personality takes precedence over the garment,” declares Ermanno Scervino, and thus couture creations in pleated lace, embroidered knitwear, masculine-cut suits and delicate lingerie are designed to artfully set off human imperfections. “I wanted two handsome and young faces to interpret a collection that is both strong and delicate,” continues Ermanno Scervino. “Only Peter’s charisma could capture the essence of my aesthetic vision. Making the clothes speak in such a way that they enhance the personality of the wearer is the underlying aim of all my creations.”
The Ermanno Scervino Fall 2016 campaign will run worldwide, beginning in July 2016.
