For the Comptoir des Cotonniers Fall 2015 collection, Creative Director Anne Valérie offered an elegant, preppy tailoring with feminine details and classic cuts. Jeans with a built-in drape across the hips were a characteristic feature of Hash as well as a new take on sneakers with laces that were slightly off-center. Asymmetry and twisting silhouettes were two of her signatures at her old label.
Comptoir des Cotonniers is a much more straightforward proposition with the bulk of the lineup being basics-oriented. Many of the pieces were built as two-in-ones (a leather Perfecto with zip-off sleeves) or three-in-ones (a trench that separates into a jacket and a sleeveless coatdress). With quality knitwear, black leather jackets, sporty separates, shearling coats, camel trench-coats and stunning parkas, this collection is the go-to for minimalist luxury with an elegant twist.
