The Giorgio Armani Group has signed a partnership agreement with Chinese real estate company Smart Hero Group for a residential project inside Beijing’s Smart Hero-Central Park Plaza complex. The eco buildings slated to open by the end of 2017.

The Giorgio Armani Casa residences will show the collection prominently in the common areas and amenities, as well as several luxury apartments conceived by architect Ma Yansong, who integrated a modern, urban aesthetic with Chinese traditional concept of harmony between man and nature.

“I’m very happy to collaborate on the development of this complex in Beijing, one of the most charming cities in the world,” Giorgio Armani said to WWD. “The Chinese concept of ‘Union of Nature and Man’ perfectly fits the aesthetic I developed for Armani/Casa, which constantly aspires at creating a sense of harmony inside the indoor spaces while respecting their natural context. The idea of matching an aesthetic created by people with natural materials and shapes represents for me the ultimate contemporary luxury.”

The brand has previously worked on projects including the Century Spire complex in Makati, Philippines and the World Towers in Mumbai.
