Jewelry brand Ginette NY has just opened its first boutique in Paris. Born and raised in “la Cite Radieuse” built by Le Corbusier in Marseille (France), Ginette NY designer, Frederique Dessemond imagined a space based on the dimensions of the “Modulor” the human sized measurement system developed by the famed architect. The balanced proportions used make it a very beautiful space where the purity of the jewelry pleasantly mixes with the clean lines of the store design.
The result is a “Jewelry Bar” concept similar to the one first created for the new York store organized around a tall counter and bar stools. it makes for an inviting and warm space where conversations can flow, a new and modern way to sell Fine Jewelry.
All details of this 40 square-meter jewel box, located at 66 rue des Saints Pères in the 7th arrondissement, have been carefully thought after : oversize mirrors, perforated ceiling lamps, unusual materials like cork, “faux” brass and marble treatments. Colors are Ginette NY’s favorites, Carbon for the storefront and Charcoal for the hardwood floors, high- lighted by a Gold store sign and the warm ivory of the walls.
Ginette NY’s strong visual campaigns will be soon projected on the walls as always balancing vintage inspiration and contemporary design.
