Fendi will launch a new women’s fragrance entitled Furiosa, which means “furious” and “feisty” in Italian. The fashion house is releasing Furiosa as an homage to its Roman heritage, intending to capture the spirit of the brand’s history.

With a ad campaign starring Italian actress Kasia Smutniak and a bottle designed by jewelry designer Delfina Delettrez Fendi, a member of the Fendi family, the Fendi Furiosa is set to unleash its scent to much anticipation this Fall.

Fendi Perfumes’ international president, Isabelle Gex, described the house’s latest fragrance, explaining that Furiosa will “capture the quintessence of the brand.”

“That’s why the animal domain, the wild aspect, this femininity seemed interesting to us, because it resonated perfectly with Fendi’s know-how in working with different materials, skins and furs,” Gex said. “It’s a really strategic launch for us, both in terms of business and the symbolic value of the perfume.”

As for the scent’s smell itself, created by perfumer François Demachy, it will reportedly feature pink pepper from the French island Réunion, along with Calabrian bergamot. In addition, Furiosa’s juice will also contain Egyptian jasmine, matthiola incana and gardenia flowers.

The fragrance will be released in September 2014.
