Thakoon Addition is putting its best foot forward with its first shoe collection. Pre-fall marks the first season of footwear for Thakoon Addition, the contemporary spinoff label from designer Thakoon Panichgul’s namesake brand.

“I knew shoes would be something exciting to explore but waited until the opportunity presented itself to explore it fully,” said Panichgul.

“We didn’t have shoes to complete the outfit. That was an important part of it,” Panichgul said on how the footwear opportunity came about.

For the debut 10-style shoe line, Panichgul kept his focus on fashion, comfort, and durability, and added his signature touch of whimsy with the hope that the shoes will inspire women to dress from the foot up. Crafted from a combination of textures and materials just like his ready-to-wear collection, the designer will introduce innovative styles mixed with traditional elements in each design. Thakoon Addition’s shoes will have a boy-meets-girl aesthetic that will come in the form of boots, loafers, flatforms, and more.

Produced in Portugal, the footwear line is priced from $375 to $565 and will hit stores this July at Harvey Nichols, Net-a-Porter.com, Forty Five Ten in Dallas and Saks Fifth Avenue.
