The Anya Hindmarch Spring 2014 collection feels fresh and weightless, and lightweight bags that will still withstand the rigours of a busy life. For an added dose of humour, our take on space debris includes intricate python and lizard skin matchboxes and our luxurious Happy Shopper.
“In the most literal sense, Out of this World was inspired by natural materials, weightlessness and modern, luxurious simplicity,” says Hindmarch of the collection. “An evolution rather than revolution, vivid contrasting linings and deconstructed shapes have taken many of the bags and made them fresh and featherweight. Of course, we then took all of these ideas and threw them up in the air.”
The brand tapped the London-based creative agency David James Associates to create its Spring 2014 ad campaign, the luxury brand’s first time working with the agency. The campaign draws influences from the Spring 2014 collection–space, natural materials and craftsmanship–to create a series of still life images with a painterly feel.
