GUCCI SPRING 2018 EYEWEAR FILM CAMPAIGN STARRING NI NI

It's a retro revival as Gucci evokes a vintage '80s feel for the Spring eyewear collection.

March 27, 2018

In the new Gucci Spring 2018 Eyewear campaign, actress Ni Ni walks the sunny boardwalk of Venice Beach in Los Angeles, wearing frames from the latest lineup.

The images shot by photographer Zoe Ghertner feature the Chinese actress in rounded shades crafted in pale metal featuring a pearl effect detail at the tips with interlocking G.

A flat aviator sunglasses with double bridge embellished by the interlocking G detail, a lineup of new shades in transparent fluo tones and vibrant hues, wide round and aviator shapes in shiny colors and many others appear in the Gucci campaign.

Also make appearance are the eighties influenced specialized fit round-frame acetate sunglasses and vibrant rectangular shape glasses. The square-frame gold metal and black acetate frame sunglasses are refined with matching temples with dark tortoiseshell acetate tips.

Alessandro Michele draws inspiration from his friend, British star Sir Elton John for Spring 2018 collection. With quirky shapes and colored lenses, of quasi-futuristic inspirations, the collection features rectangular-frame acetate sunglasses with crystals. These glasses are part of the Hollywood Forever collection and their transparent fluorescent orange frame and temples are adorned with hand-applied crystals and gold-toned studs.
