PUMA EN POINTE AD CAMPAIGN FEATURING SELENA GOMEZ

Puma is on point as Selena Gomez launches a ballet-inspired collection.

Selena Gomez models the new Puma En Pointe collection, which the design team created with the dancers of the New York City ballet to gain insight into what a dancer needs to be at their best during hours of rehearsals and performances.

The result is a trio of sneakers highlighted by linear elements, wide strapping, and woven details pulled from ballet technique. Pleating, rib textures, and buoyant fabrics create structure, while metal details and sporty trims emphasize motion. We thus see the Phenom Satin, Phenom Low Satin, and Fierce Satin done up in the ever-popular “Millennial Pink” as well as other pastel shades. The collection also features sneakers laced up with satin ribbons reminiscent of the wraps on pointe shoes.

Linear elements, wide straps and woven details offer support without compromising flexibility, while pleating and rib textures create structure. And with a color palette of soft grays, millennial pink and black, the entire collection is so very, very pretty. On the footwear front, there are three: the Phenom Satin, a high-top bootie with open mesh inserts; the Phenom Low Satin, a flexible sneaker with a socklike upper; and the Fierce Satin, a lightweight style that features Ignite’s foam for superior energy return.

Gomez strikes a pose in the coolest leggings accented with sheer panels and a millennial pink sports bra and coordinating sneakers.

“I feel confident. I feel empowered. I feel in control. I am brave,” Gomez said about the campaign. “Yes, I might not be perfect, but I’m always ME. No masks, not filters, just Selena Gomez.”

The new lineup is inspired by the graceful poise of ballerinas, but still embodies the tough spirit that Puma is known for.
