Check out Dior’s limited-edition collection for the end-of-year festivities

The House’s fragrances, skincare and makeup are transformed into treasures in the Christian Dior limited-edition 2017 gift collection film produced for the end-of-year party season. Gold, the emblematic hue of the perfume J’adore, is a running theme throughout the snow-filled video. In a white landscape, La Crème Dior Prestige and the makeup for this winter’s festively-colored beauty look are brought together. When it comes to perfumes, Poison Girl and Dior Homme appear in the House’s grained white boxes. Then the new Miss Dior Eau de Parfum with its emblematic ribbon is unveiled before the men’s fragrance Sauvage is revealed beneath the snowflakes. With the exceptional amphora of J’adore L’Or, the film ends on a luminous and majestic high note.

With its new jeweled bottle, J’adore L’Or is an exceptional fragrance in a precious container, an ideal gift for the holidays. Grown in Grasse, the cradle of French perfumery and the terroir of choice for Dior perfumes, the flowers of this sensual duo are enveloped by a Tahitian vanilla, along with an intoxicating ylang ylang paired with a heady tuberose. Thanks to a unique engraving technique, its neck seems animated with a sense of organic movement. Worked when it’s in liquid form, much like molten gold, the metal is shaped by the craftsman’s hands to create an exceptional gift.

For lips, the faceted applicator tip of Diorific Khôl permits a precision application, while the Diorific Matte Fluid, which can also be applied to cheeks, provides a matte veiling of blazing red or subtle nude. The precious shades, inspired by gems, can be found right to the fingertips as Diorific Vernis which come in garnet, emerald or amethyst. Like two jewels, the Ruby and Emerald harmonies of the 5 Couleurs palette adopt a faceted compression, and grace the eyes with dazzling and subtle nuanced color.

As the festive season approaches, thoughts turn to love and passion, two inspirations for François Demachy, Dior’s exclusive perfumer-creator, when it came to reworking Miss Dior Eau de Parfum as a customized wild rose, a declaration of love destined for women.

“ I chiseled into the floral character of Miss Dior Eau de Parfum in order to make it sensual and suggestive. It had to spring like a thunderbolt. A declaration of love to love!” explains François Demachy who gave the perfume a modern makeover, while still observing Christian Dior’s original wish to produce “a perfume that smells of love”.
