Rihanna is mad for makeup and finally readies her own line

Singer, actress and fashion icon Rihanna is now tackling the beauty industry with her first makeup and cosmetics brand Fenty Beauty by Rihanna. The new makeup brand is a beauty rocket ship that will appeal to a huge and diverse global audience.

“It’s something that I’ve always wanted to do, but I’ve always had so much on my hands,” she said. “But, this time, I’m going to make sure it happens. I’m going to find some time between albums and fragrance to do that. I promise.”

The first sighting of the line was backstage at the Fenty x Puma by Rihanna Spring 2016 show – at which a holographic lip product from the collection was debuted. Aside from that, Rihanna has kept uncharacteristically quiet.

The collection will be in stores on September 8th,  the singer shared on her Instagram, noting that it will be sold at Sephora, Harvey Nichols and FentyBeauty.com.

The news that Rihanna was launching her own beauty collection — and had inked a deal with LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton’s Kendo division, estimated as high as $10 million — first broke in April 2016.
