Marni plays with movement and strength in a dramatic Fall film of illusions

A being, caught in the act of creating its own reality.

Light, in its inconstancy, gives shape to personality: an exercise of balance, search and dismissal, becomes the key element of the Marni Fall 2017 collection.

The Marni Fall 2017 collection is an exercise in balance – the search for it, and its dismissal. Fragmentary yet solid, the Marni woman explores the many facets of her being, abandoned in a timeless landscape where the mutability of light accompanies the fluidity with which her personality takes shape.

Using the magic of digital illusions, the artist, Michael Hauptman, immortalises the model, Ansley Gulielmi, in impossible poses, where the only thing she can hold onto is herself. It is an illusion that emphasises her strength, an error that celebrates her beauty.

In charge of styling was Camilla Nickerson, with art direction from Giovanni Bianco & GB65, and production by Sylvia Farago LTD Production. Beauty is work of hair stylist Duffy and makeup artist Diane Kendal.
