Feminine meets masculine as Tomas Maier indulges in a tailored collection for the sophisticated

The Bottega Veneta Fall 2017 collection features silhouettes that are defined by a strong shoulder and fitted waist. Tailored glamour rules the collection, exemplified in flowing midi dresses, metallic gowns and belted double-face cashmere capes.

“This is a silhouette that is like it has been drawn, starting from a precise shoulder line, as if you can see the pencil mark on a sketch,” said Tomas Maier, Creative Director.

Individual pieces add to the Women’s collection defined silhouette. Menswear explores the sharply tailored line and plays with variations of the tuxedo from day to night. Signatures of the Bottega Veneta Fall 2017 collection are cinched waistlines, accented shoulders, dresses that fall softly below the knee, and a refined bag, like the City Knot in vibrant ocre.

“The Men’s and Women’s collections complement each other. They were designed at the same time, and speak the same language,” said Maier.
