With Paul Surridge’s first season at Roberto Cavalli, his focus is the women’s and men’s signature lines, with sight on the Just Cavalli label as well.

With the Just Cavalli 2018 Resort collection, the Italian House explores different fabrics from leather, grommets and studs to soft silks and crochet to bring us a rock ‘n’ roll aesthetic with a romantic touch.

The brand’s signature codes such as baroque details, animal prints, floral motifs, have all been featured mixed with elements of femininity and softness takign the ensemble from day to night. With a versatile collection, we are introduced to some daywear pieces such as a two-tone cape as well as sweatshirts with intricate embroideries and studded detailing. Eveningwear is more prominent however, with skin-tight pants paired with a silk bomber, chiffon minidresses with lace add-ons and ruffles accents. Meanwhile, metallic embellishments are incorporated into the leather jackets giving it an added glamorous flare.

While the collection was primarily rock-studded, we see a touch a marine details and a military appeal seen through the rounded buttons on the high-waist denim pants and the white brocade suit paired with short pants.
