The newest Issey Miyake flagship store in Italy has just opened its doors at Via Bagutta 12, Milan.
Built between 1826 and 1831 by the Reina Family, the Palazzo Reina eventually passed to the Municipality of Milano in 1921. After being faithfully restored respecting its authentic and historical significance in 2014, it will be reborn as the new Issey Miyake store.
The concept is “History and Future,” taken on the space design by Tokujin Yoshioka. This unique space expresses the contrast, showing the many layers of time in the texture of the historical Palazzo with futuristic material.
The store covers 800 square metres of retail space and will offers all lines of the brand including Issey Miyake, Issey Miyake Men, Pleats Please, Homme Plissé, Bao Bao and 132 5 Issey Miyake.
