Supermodel and entrepreneur Miranda Kerr has teamed up with brand Mother Denim for a 12-piece capsule collection to benefit Sydney’s The Royal Hospital for Women Foundation. “Being involved in this creative process is something that I enjoy and the fact that it’s for a great cause was the icing on the cake,” said Kerr. “The hospital provides so much support for women and assistance for mothers and their babies.”

Given her role as a skin-care entrepreneur, Kerr is used to taking the creative reigns and the challenge of designing the perfect jeans proved irresistible. “It was incredible just to be able to work with different types of denim. Different washes, different elasticity, and shapes,” says Kerr. “You’ll see within the 12 pieces that I quite like a little bit of the washed out, worn in look.” She went into the process knowing exactly what she wanted: upbeat statement T-shirts, positive messages, and attention-grabbing pieces including a jumpsuit. “Miranda was a dream to work with,” said Tim Kaeding, co-founder and creative director. “She came with mood boards and color palettes. She had proportions and fits in mind as well.”

A portion of the proceeds from this limited-edition capsule collection will benefit The Royal Women’s Hospital Foundation based in Australia. Each year the Royal Hospital for Women cares for more than 10,000 women, 600 premature babies and sends more than 4,200 babies home with their families and has been doing so for 150 years. The Foundation exists to ensure that all patients have the best possible treatment and equipment. 70% of the life-saving equipment in the hospital’s newborn intensive care unit has been purchased through donations. These vital funds help to save babies lives.
