The Giorgio Armani Pre-Fall 2017 collection embraces haute couture-inspired looks, reminiscent of his travels to South America.

The designer experiments with multi-colored patterns and bolder hues with fiery reds and light blues including jocose red and green as the collection’s absolute must-haves. While red might actually not be that surprising, Armani uses green choosing Pantone’s Greenery as the predestined tone of green for his designs.

The collection features the designer’s standard suits and gowns in a modern, urban-ready way, with Eighties-inspired puffed-up shoulders and cropped cuts dominating the scene. Appealing Nineties-inspired motifs are seen as well with many oversized coats and comfy skinny pants.

For the most part, this collection was tuned to a more daytime-appropriate key. Armani added some athleisure touches with mohair sweats paired with a one-button blazer and satin track pants that unzipped to the hips for a fuller shape with a three-button topper. Outerwear pieces cut from elaborately woven jacquards in underwater and Peruvian landscape motifs were no less bold.
