With her butterfly lenses set into golden frames and dressed in precious pieces from the Miu Miu archive, fresh-faced Kaia Gerber perfectly encapsulates the maverick femininity of the Miu Miu girl. She is seen living out of time and place in an unidentifiable desert oasis.

She awakens alone although evidence of nocturnal escapades suggests that isn’t always her way. She shakes off the remnants of sleep before plunging into a pool the surface of which shimmers with dappled sunlight. From there she emerges radiating youth, confidence and the playful spirit that lies at the heart of the Miu Miu name.

Following a creative path that is full of paradoxes and contrasts, the Miu Miu Scenique sunglasses stylistically reinterpret the twofold nature of the Miu Miu woman – rebellious yet feminine. The volumes thicken, while the silhouettes reveal and conceal, giving life to a stylistic interplay defined by sinuous lines and oversized shapes.

These sunglasses, hot off the Spring 2016 catwalk, play a starring role in the season’s new ad campaign. The oversized design of the irregular front is perfectly balanced by the ultra-slim metal temples and double bridge. Skilfully crafted sinuous profiles lend femininity to the glasses.

The project was developed and produced by APRIL and the film directed by Francesco Maria Tiribelli, with Creative Director Joakim Dahlqvist and Executive Producer Alessandro Farinella.
