For the Rudsak Fall 2016 collection, the brand offered untamed style for the urban rebel with a  savage spirit theme with references of medieval sagas and heroic legends to forge a powerful visual aesthetic. Models pounded down the Toronto Fashion Week runway against a dramatic backdrop of projected stone fortress ruins to the thumping soundtrack of live drummers.

The seasonal line upholds Rudsak’s heritage of creating distinctive winter wear in a mix of luxe leathers and rich furs, evoking an animal magnetism and raw primitive beauty. Natural shades including sylvan greens, earthy browns, burnt umber and smoked greys dominated the palette, acting as a rich neutral backdrop for vivid bursts of stained crimson and vibrant chartreuse. A full line of chunky knits, quilted puffer pieces and playfully layered sheers rounded out the new season’s apparel, telling a bold story with boxy silhouettes and minimal Scandinavian lines
throughout.

Influenced by Nordic folklore, looks channelled the spirit of Viking conquerors, injecting a fresh intensity into the presentation. The collection’s fierce spirit was present in every detail, from accent-dyed fur to edgy eyelets that amplified the season’s line of outerwear and apparel. Varied permutations of lush shearling featured prominently, integrated into everything from outerwear to rider boots to men’s high-top sneakers.
