Releasing the Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2016 ad campaign, the Italian brand celebrates all things Italian for a new set of colorful images.

“The Dolce & Gabbana Summer 2016 advertising campaign tells a simple story: fruit stalls, small shops, spaghetti, coffee, family, sunshine, summer. In one word, Italy. The inspiration of the fashion show and the advertising is life in Italy, the fanciful, positive life, made of genunity: food, history, love,” said the brand on Instagram.

The photographs are bursting with the brand’s signature kitschy mix of colors, patterns and textures — as thoroughly Italian as the checked table cloths, fruit stalls and ivy-covered windows that surround them.

A diverse cast including Luma Grothe, Leila Nda and Pauline Hoarau sets the scene with floral print dresses, nautical stripes, and billowing shapes standout in the sun-drenched advertisements. The Dolce & Gabbana woman can be seen taking selfies while sitting at a cafe or flaunting her new handbag while shopping for fruit.
