Derek Lam is pleased to announce the launch of e-commerce on the luxury brand’s website DerekLam.com. The site introduces e-commerce for both Derek Lam and its diffusion line, Derek Lam 10 Crosby and will launch with products from the Fall 2014 collections. Integrated with unique and exclusive product, the site will offer the biggest selection of ready-to-wear, handbags, shoes, eyewear and special collaborations on-line and in one place. At launch, dereklam.com will ship to customers in the US with plans of international shipping expansion slated for Spring 2015.
Staying true to the Derek Lam aesthetic, the newly re-launched site will provide a clean and modern design concept while enabling customers to shop the complete Derek Lam brand experience. Special features include the capability of shopping directly from looks shown on the runway as well as a curated selection of pieces handpicked by Derek Lam that will be exclusive to the site. As an online exclusive the site will launch with the Derek Lam for Mark Cross handbag collaboration which was introduced this Fall.
“With the launch of the new e-commerce site, I want to provide our clients the easiest possible shopping experience with the largest but in the same time most curated product offering available. It allows me to showcase a very personal edit of each collection and to create a direct runway to retail connection,” said Lam.
The new website was created in collaboration with Onestop Internet a full service e-commerce provider based in L.A. Jan-Hendrik Schlottmann, CEO of Derek Lam says: “We decided to partner with Onestop because it employs an innovative data-driven approach to e-commerce which we think differentiates them from others in the space. “
The site design was led by creative agency Berger & Wild. Tenzin Wild and Magnus Berger have been long term creative consultants to Derek Lam.
