Designer Elie Saab featured an unmistakable sport influence fueled his Spring 2015 collection, adding a few new points of interest to his reliably glamorous formula.

Saab dunked his glam evening standards in an under-the-sea theme, this time titled “Dive Into the Deep Blue.” The runway was awash in tidal colors — sea green, coral, a blue inspired by the waters of the Amalfi Coast — a marine print and dusky hues that gave a warm glow to Saab’s fluid, Seventies gowns with V-necks, gauzy winged sleeves and generously slit skirts. The collection featured gowns with abstract lace and embroideries that mimicked the ebb and flow of water.

As for the sporty aesthetic, the Elie Saab collection played out as lace strips that contoured around the leg from outer hip to inner ankle, swimsuit-inspired dress bodices, and flat sandals.
