This is Creative Director Stuart Vevers’ second collection for Coach and the Spring 2015 collection is punchy yet subtle.

“David Lynch was my starting point, and, of course, Patricia Arquette as Alabama Whitman in True Romance,” confirms Vevers after the presentation to Vogue. “I want my Coach girl to have that element of effortless and intrigue.”

Featuring faded chiffon tea dresses and flatform pool slides; oversize pastel faux fur coats and metallicized pastel leather clogs with spot peacoats and candy-colored leather miniskirts. Eerily naive cartoon creatures by Californian animator and artist Gary Baseman monkeyed around on simple shoppers and summer knits to an offbeat effect. Still on the open-road theme, Coach introduced the Dakotah bag in new colors—a  slouchy, silver-studded satchel.

The neat A-line leather and patent minis, which came in an acidic rush of colors, will no doubt find favor after fall’s mod mood, but the flurry of flares may take the Coach girl by surprise.
