Massaro has boasted another pin on the city’s luxury map, with the opening of an ephemeral boutique at 19 Rue Cambon, a new two-level, boutique in the Paris’ 1st arrondisement. The boutique opening coincides with the launch of a new project for the house: a collection signed by two major names from the world of footwear, shoe designer Laurence Dacade and shoemaker Philippe Atienza.
The project marries the creative vision of this leading contemporary designer and the know-how of a house that has existed for over than a century.
Quirky, unique, trendy and sexy, the new collection has as its muse a woman-child, a fairy tale heroine who dreams of a pair of princess slippers. The storyline’s Alice or Little Red Riding Hood is imagined striding through cities dressed in striking thigh boots in leather or exotic skins, decorated with a trompe-l’oeil heel. She then pulls on a pair of skyscraper platform heels in butter-soft lambskin to go dancing, or slips into a pair of Felliniesque lace-up ankle boots in distressed leather, punctuated with baroque heels honed from hammered gold.
Step inside this unique world open until January 2015.
