On the occasion of Firenze/Hometown of Fashion, Pitti Immagine Uomo and Emilio Pucci launched an exclusive art installation entitled ‘Monumental Pucci’ in conjunction with the City of Florence and with the extraordinary contribution of the Ministry for Economic Development and the Italian Trade Agency.

‘Monumental Pucci’ involves styling the famed Florence Baptistery with the “Battistero” scarf print from the Pucci archives. Designed by the Marquise Emilio Pucci in 1957, the print portrays an aerial view of Piazza San Giovanni in vibrant Mediterranean colors.

The apse side of the Baptistery will be clad in the original “Battistero” print, reproduced in its entirety, while the remaining seven sides of the octagonal building will be covered in almost 2,000 square meters of printed canvas depicting a close-up of the ‘Battistero’ design blown up to faithfully follow the building’s contours in true-to-life size.

Fans can follow the unveiling of the Baptistery’s new look through the hashtag #MonumentalPucci on Emilio Pucci’s social networks.

The ‘Battistero’ print symbolizes the Pucci Maison’s strong ties to the city of Florence, the home town of the Marquise and headquarters of the brand.
