The designers behind the brand Preen, Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi, are bringing their genius touch to eyewear for the first time, collaborating with Australian brand Sunshades Eyewear to fashion three signature styles: the ruffled cat-eye “Phillipa”, the bold round “Big Ben”, and the statement graphic-print “Pemberely”.
Each design embraces an element of Victoriana, a theme often explored and woven throughout their ready-to-wear collections.
The result is a collection of beautiful contradictions—the frames embody a retro feel without losing sight of the present, and they are equally dramatic and understated, both trendy and classic. For the designing duo, this was also the perfect opportunity to to flesh out their brand across international waters. “Eyewear was the perfect choice,” Thornton says. “It’s accessible to everyone; it’s exciting and always fun.”
The collection is priced between $335 and $380.
