This season, the Anna Sui Fall 2014 collection is inspired by Serge Luten’s photographs for Shiseido, fashion illustrations from La Gazette du Bon Ton, Biba, art deco jewelry, the interiors of Rose Cummings, and chinoiserie rooms and pavilions from European palaces.  I’m mad about the colors of jade, cinnebar and kingfisher blue.

The collection features ruby red striped Mongolian fur coats, antique leopard capes, knit teal fox shrugs, satin chrysanthemum robes, smocked faille parkas, shimmering camouflage jackets, unconstructed tweedy suits as soft as sweaters, kimono-shaped art deco knits, digital print chinoiserie  jumpsuits, burn-out velvet lamé pajamas, vintage peacock embroidery pants, Jimmy Page dragon beaded bell-bottoms, charmeuse tap shorts, black diamond lace flapper dresses, embroidered velvet cheongsams, and fairytale castle jacquard shifts.
