The Sergio Rossi Fall 2014 collection entitled “Poetic Surrealism” tells a contemporary fairytale, a journey through a dreamlike parallel dimension where shoes, like imaginary creatures, reveal their poetic, surreal souls.
Collections and Design Director Angelo Ruggeri has chosen to speak of the complexity of the female form through a filter, a mask with sinuous lines that becomes a decorative element on a black suede sandal with gold edging in the perfect synthesis of his romantic and surreal vision. The woman chooses symbols from nature to describe and reveal herself in a game of contrasts and illusions expressed through the purity of the shapes, traditional craftsmanship and attention to detail that have always been the brand’s distinctive codes.
The chromatic palette combines absolute tones such as intense black with the suffused luminosity of nude, or blends new blacks with the sophisticated shades of nature such as dark rubin, bohemian red and aster blue.
Sergio Rossi describes a fantastical world, a timeless reality in which femininity bursts forth in all its forms, with shapes, details and tones.
